Default AA £84 12months warranty and recovery

talking to a salesman at the white rose shopping center and he offered me a £84 package for all mechanical parts including turbo and 12 months recovery. The exclusions were wear and tear items e.g tyres, pads , bulbs etc.I explained it was a three year old Scooby and he said providing it was less than ten years old/serviced/less than 100k miles it was covered and the repairs could be done by a Subaru Dealership if preffered.now thats got to be a bargain bearing in mind subaru wanted around £400 for the same deal......
anyone tried them?

Does sound like a good deal, I would be pouring over the small print, If its as simple as it sounds then its gotta be worth £84!!

I thought it was only if you broke down and were recovered by the AA?

You should read the small print, as usually they only allow you to claim for upto £500 at anyone time. Also, your car has to be MOT'd and serviced by an approved AA garage.

My mate has had this on his various Lotus Elise's that he has owned and he has had loads of claims on it with out any hassle.

He has just had one settled for his snapped toe links and the car was brought home to Scotland from down in Wales.

I have this on mine. The car can also be flat bedded to a garage of your choice within a 100 miles for work, which is brilliant.

Not had to use it yet but for £13 a month on my car, with relay, home cover and pretty much all AA extras its a brilliant peice of mind.

Differences obviously that a warranty would cover items failing or failed where as this you actually need to break down first but as the AA patrol guy said to me, "its free to call, and if you need it recovering just ask"
