Default How much is my Scooby Worth?

Due to a change in my work location I'm now doing a 105 mile a day commute. The Scoob loves it but as its all motorway, it means I don't get to drive it like I should, so will be getting a BM 330d instead

So, whats it worth.

Its an 2003 03 blobeye, FSSH, just been serviced, 12 months MOT, 4 months tax, 2 new Avons, 79K, Very very good condition inside and out, standard apart from Prodrive Spoiler, Induction kit, oval backbox and decals on the drivers doors and boot (easily removed).

Pictures in My Scooby.

Any ideas??

Cheers

The easiest way to find out is go on the glass's website, pay £3.50 and get a proper valuation. if you don't want to pay, seach autotrader.co.uk and ebay. But be realistic, prices will vary a lot on autotrader. It's no good pricing it with the higher ones, as if there's similar cars going a lot cheaper then no-one will even look at yours and you'll have wasted money on advertising :-/ Cars are usually worth less than you think/hope for :-/

To be brutally honest you'll be looking at getting around £5k in part exchange value probably £4K something is more realistic.

My 55 plate Hawkeye (20k miles) has been value at £6-7K in part exchange. So I didn't go ahead with the deals I was looking at.

And when you pick up your 330D make sure you budget for when the engine decides to eat the turbo.

Prices are all over the shop at the minute, decent cars going for much less than they should and dealers not wanting to px with this type of car due to the economic climate

Instead of the BM, why don't you look at getting a cheaper diesel and keeping the Impreza for the weekends?

The money you would lose on the Impreza is probably quite large. I imagine that you can also pick up something like a Golf diesel, or Focus diesel pretty cheap.

Problem solved...

The 330d I'm getting is my brothers, so I'm looking to sell the Scoob privately.

My brother for his sins, works at a BM dealership so his 330d hasn't wanted for anything. Its an 05 plate 330 Cd, 81K on the clock, Black, full leather and all the toys.

I had considered keeping the Scoob and getting a nail to go to work and back in, but don't need another car on/in the drive/garage Already have a Fiat Coupe 20vt along with her bus

I'll have a look on AT/Pistonheads to see what they're going for now.

Would hope for around £5kish.

It's just a normal 2.5 WRX. Depreciation has been about £8500 in the 2 years I've owned it and the 11 thousands miles I've driven.

The dealers I've been to just aren't interested. They want top money for the car they are selling yet offer you bugger all for your own. It's a bit of a vicious circle that has been created.

I usually change my car every 2 years but at the moment I feel that I would be giving it away. So I'm keeping hold for the foreseeable future.
