Default I am such a "HERO"

Not!

Ok yesterday I was putting back the fuel breather solenoid when I thought i'd give it 1 last nip up then it snapped off leaving a great big hole in the inlet manifold! As you can imagine all the swear words come out of my huge gob and was mighty pissed off.

Anyways I am shocked on how easy the cast gave away leaving the hole.

I am more happy today just knowing it's going to get fixed.

Here are some pic's!

There's stuff caled liquid metal, it's a kind of metal glue which chemically bonds to the ally. I used some on my 309gti, when one of the head bolts punched through the water pump housing(garage said the new head bolts didn't need the 15mm spacers under them, they did!!!) Worked really well.

I have used chemically bonds in the past but on an important part like this I am not chancing it! That sort of stuff is good for bits not exposed to the engine and on little jobs. IMHO Thanks for the advice anyways fella!

I wouldn't have snapped anything on a Cosworth I would of just blown it up again!

Cosworths don't snap they just melt!

This is my 1st cosworth that blew up at 181mph GPRS and hitting the rev limiter in 5th
