Default opinions on this scooby, looking to buy!!

have spoken to the guy its just a few miles down the road from me, price is a bit steep imo, but i know he has his eye on another car at a small garage and they have offered him a px for it and i reckon he would of been lucky if they offered him £3500 for the scoob. great mods on the car, andy forrest hybrid and remap, should be about 300bhp i reckon, guy wants a quick sale this week, was going to offer him £4k, what do u guys reckon?? Sorry but that's not even worth 4k let along 5k

The *** has feel out of Subaru's as it has most other cars! 3 to 3.5k tops!

actually yeah was probably more like £2500, maybe. hence why i reckon i can get it for £4k, dont want to spend any more than that anyway. so what do u reckon on the car.

obviously hes baseing his price on the money spent on the car, but as we all know u dont get your money back on mods, would save me spending money on them though! u reckon i could get it for less than 4k ?? maybe offer him £3700, buyers market.

yeah he has been serviciing it himself he told me. the more i think about it maybe £3500 is more realistic given the age of the car and lack of fsh, and its not mint

i might leave it a few days see if he drops his asking price then make an offer. i sold my 97 v3 sti in october and it was in stunning condition and only 43k on the clock and only got £4000 for it, and things have got worse since then in the car market.

My old MY00 with a/c ppp, uprated brembo's, defi's, FSSH and 46k on the clock was up for 4999 on pistonheads, better than that one!
If he knocks a fair bit off it then it may be worth it
This was my old one
Subaru : impreza turbo
It does have a/c (though its sold now ) and apart from the horrid 18's stupid mudflaps and lack of the side protection strips, its exactly how i left her (the 17 inch PD7's in antracite were much nicer wheels than those on there )

Tony

for 5k you can get a low milage classic sti (found a version 5 with 42k on it for £4,925) so its way over the odds. go back 6/12 months and it would have been a bargin, afraid they just arn't worth what people think anymore

the car may be worth the money on papaer, but the market has battered the price to death at min.
