You used to be able to fill out forms to the dvla and pay £5 and they give you the address for the new owner! You have to give a good reason why though! "Like" you want to buy the car back etc...

Really??

I'd pay £5 if I could find out where my old Impreza is now. Its still has my plate on it because when I do the vehicle check on the number plate it comes up as Impreza Turbo.

Would be good to at least ask for first refusal if the owner decided to sell.

Good reason would be - he crashed into my car, or maybe: he drove out of my petrol station without paying.

Must be off the road, Scrap yard, or being driving with no insurance!

My plate into the above still shows Subaru Impreza Turbo.

If I couldn't get the car back I'd like to try and get the plate back - unless the new owner is called EDD.
