Sold the RA today and missing it, they are like a best friend, you love and hate them all at once but when they are gone you remember the good times and wonder how you will get on.
I had made up my mind to sell it last week so the shock is not so bad but I am wondering how I will cope with a "normal" car as I have never owned anything apart from sports bred brands (hot hatches, rear wheel drive lunatic cars, jap turbo machines).
So how did you folks cope and did you cave in to the addiction and get another scoobie later on?
I plan to stick to the brand, will either wait till end of the year and get the STi Type UK hatchback in Blue (love em after test driving one again) or middle of the year get a factory spec STi Type RA circa 93 to 96 spec to strip out as a fast road/track machine.
Now I am getting aquainted with things like Taxi's and my trusty (rusty) mountain bike.

Sold my nightmare of a 2003 STI TYpe UK middle of last year and decided my 11 years with a Scoob of one sort or another was over.
See this thread for why:

I lasted all of 2 months and bought a classic again. And it wasn't like I had a boring car in between. They sure get to you! LOL

I lasted three months and that was a bloody struggle I tell thee! The thing with the Impreza is the ability to get in and just drive the bloody thing incredibly quickly. This without compromising safety or stressing the car. Sure some may say the Evo does it as well or better, but in my opinion the Evo never felt as connected to me as the Impreza.

Mine is going up for sale next week after its service, I was planning to get an A4 estate or something. I am already feeling anxious about driving something boring.
Lets see if I end up with an estate or buy a classic when the MRS isnt looking...

This thread is making me sad
Getting rid of a Scoob to me is so much more than selling a car, it's getting rid of a whole package that you get with it...
I bet A4 estate owners don't wave at each other.
