Default Im sure mot will fail my car.

Sent my subaru in for a MOT got a feeling it will fail. Some lights are out, the car was modded so probably has been de-cated, and the seat belts are loose. Im sure ill be asking for help soon.

Why have you wasted £50 when you are pretty sure it will fail? You should have corrected everything you could, before ever going near the place!

i would say if you are unsure as to the car passing or not to take it for a pre mot, about £25.00 better chance then of the car in and out for mot and no messing as to re-test within so many days and some times a charge for that,
you also risk an over the odds qoute as they know it is easier for the customer to just have the work done and again a licence to print money with these cars.
thinking well in advance always pays off in the long run.
good luck mate!
suppose you will just have to wait now.

I thought if you pay for an MOT and it fails that once you have carried out the required items to bring the car up to scratch the 're-test' is not chargable.

Failed on
Rear Pads

Front light alignment.

Ive just spoke to my mate and he said they should have alignment it there on the ramp. How can I alignment it???

@ RAPID STI
Usually they give you 14days. Think they have to by law.

if the car doesn't leave the premises then the retest is officially free, a lot of places will give you some grace on this if you want to take the car away to carry out the work although they dont legally have to.
Remember though, if the fail sheet comes back too large then it might be cheaper to write off the £50 and take it to another place and have it tested again.
(It only has to come back with £51 less failure on it to be profitable )

Headlights as some one said, level surface in front of a wall and measure the height and adjust (should find the required adjustment via google)
