Worthless gizmo IMO.

You have a speedo. If you're that occupied in going fast that you can't look down at it, then you're definitely speeding. Simple.

bought a little cheap bluetooth GPS device myself, hooked it up to the nokia phone and got TOMTOM working a treat with it, IIRC it gives you a speed readout in the menu options.

turns out my speedo with the big 18" wheels and "wrong" size tyres has made my speedo more accurate

The GPS speedo HUD is made by a Chinese company called GlobalTop.

Gtop: GlobalTop GPS Innovation

I've seen one (bought from DealExtreme) and thought is was tat, but each to his own.
The Scangauge will work on 2001-on Impreza, don't think it would work on an old non-EOBD import, but others will know better than me.

Microstar i think your right. I couldnt find anything about classic with odb. I only found a guide on sidc which showed a different method for reading classics, and odb how to for newage.

Yes i decided against the HUD in the end.
