It's heavily dubbed, listen to the tyres scream "after" the car has straightened up.
Theres no chance the guy is doing 140mph, km more likely.

i'm sure i saw this on an epsiode of fifth gear, after a music video copied the idea after seeing this it. apprently iirc the filming car was a citeron and dubbed a ferrari engine for the soundtrack

Even Claude himself has admitted that he strapped the camera to the bonnet of his new big Mercedes and drove through the city. You can see that he doesnt ever go over about 80mph.
