When I was having mine mapped last month by Andy Forrest I asked him what kind of power they were good for, and he said they reach their limit around 275bhp.

About 280bhp, but an Andy Forrest hybrid is good for 320bhp whilst retaining the 04s early spool...

I had 285bhp on my standard TD04 and 290 is certainly not unheard of.

A couple of people have seen 300bhp on stock TD04's, but that is with major additional mods, most people would have gone for a larger turbo before that point!

300 can be seen: you can definately get 280-odd out of any TD04 though.

Only reason andy f didnt map mine higher was due to the restriction of the cat on my turbo up pipe. If only I had known at the time

Really didn't expect you could achieve the likes of 300. Surely that would be pushing it/waiting for the inevitable though(on a standard td04)?

Think I better get my car dyno'd to find out what it's running, as I've been thinking it's in the region of 260. It was dyno'd at almost 250 before mapping with the apexi, but I put the big difference in the way it pulls now down to Andy's mapping skills, not peak figures.

280 bhp is about the most you will get - however a bad dyno will give you 300. It does not really matter as long as torque is good. The way it drives is more important I think.

I have 280 bhp, and 303 ib/ft torque on dyno dymanics roller
