Smile Lakeside karting in essex

Just been to lakeside karting in essex. 900m track. Fantastic. I came 2nd and was lapping in av 42.5 seconds. The guy said we did well, but the guy who came first only weighs about 8 stones wet. I'm a lardy 13.5 stones would that make him or me the better driver? Not that I'm being competitive or anything!

Just wondered if any fellow scooby drivers fancy a day out there? Let me know.

35 kilos is a massive difference when youve only got a few horsepower.

What's the track like? 900m sounds a decent length - I keep going to Rye House but it is a fair old trek for me and Lakeside would be a lot closer, plus there is something nearby for the wife to do whilst I play! I've got my own kart though so will only go to places where you can run your own stuff rather than paying to hire someone else's.

Have you been on a diet then? Im extremely quick, but I now weigh almost sixteen stones (and even at 6' 3" thats fat!)!

Weight makes up for so much in a kart...
