Noob!!
Hello Guys and Gals of Scoobynet!
I've been a "lurker" for a number of months whilst reading up on Scooby's, before I finally took the plunge and purchased a gorgeous red MY97 Classic!
I previously had a CTR, which I enjoyed, but soon became bored of the speed (or rather lack of) and due to the ridiculous £££'s needed to be spent on them for very small BHP gains, decided that I wanted to go down the Turbo route. I've previously had a Honda CRX (First Car ) then moved onto an MR2 GT, then the CTR, so i'm obviously into my Jap cars.
Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself, I will be posting pics in the next few days, but I've just moved house, things are very hectic, and I'm being severly henpecked by the Missus to be putting wardrobes up etc!
Thanks
Jordan

Welcome to the group, prepare for the addiction.
A popular upgrade from the CTR, many people have done it.
So.....once the wardrobes are built, what's the plans?

Addiction is well and truly underway mate!
She's already had some fettling, the gent who owned her previously was a real car nut and she looks very well looked after. Off the top of my head...
Full Decat with Afterburner Vortex (neighbours love me lol)
Link G3 ECU remapped by Bob Rawle to 317 bhp.
Ported Heads
Whiteline droplinks.
ARB, and front strut brace.
Shortshifter
Gold Alloys(Which i'm unsure about tbh)
De Tango'd
Rear Tinted Limo Black all round.
I'm loving the current tyres, they are fantastic, and seem quite popular on here too, Goodyear F1's. Different league to the Bridgestone Potenza's on the CTR, especially in the wet, they were horrible.
But good god the fuel consumption was a shock to the system! I had a blatt down our local back lanes down to lancaster the other night, I covered 46 miles, and was just above half a tank once I got home

Sounds like they've done a good job with the mods there. Nice!
Yeah, fuel economy is not the best, but i don't mind sticking in £15 for 10 miles of smiles.

LOL SMPG!
I understand where it comes from now!
Yes she is a bit of a beast. Needs a couple of bits doing, rear shocks are clunking like crazy and i'm pretty sure my front wheel bearing is on its way out, so they are the first things to sort.
I'm trying to start a fund away from the prying eyes of the missus at the moment.... I really want a FMIC and a vf34, and get Bob to work his magic again
So are there any meets around the NW?
