Would you wreck a For Sale add if you knew the car wasn't 100%?

Would you wreck a For Sale add if you knew the car wasn't 100%?
Say, for instance, you had previously looked at a car and turned it down because you found something you didn't like. Would you mention it on the for sale add?
Would the severity of the issue you discovered dictate whether you would mention it?
Purely hyperthetical question.

If it’s major like knocking motor or if it’s been damaged or nicked I would tell all I wouldn't like to see people getting ripped off.
Is it a car on here??

Basically, yes. My sons 02 STi Prodrive was written off 5 years ago his month and it's been back on the road. Recently I've seen an ad. from a car dealer in Burnley advertising it as "one owner" So I would guess it's been re-registered? I posted details of this, naming the dealer, on here a few weeks ago.

Pose as a buyer and ask if the car has been hpi checked and has it had any accident damage at any time, if the dealer says its hpi clear and has no history of any accident damage i would then contact trading standards and inform them, they will look into it and deal with them accordingly, naming the trader on an open forum is not a good idea as it can result in the trader taking legal action against you, so be careful.

Well I did post about an STI RA that had clearly been front ended with some force.
However, I looked at a car at an import centre last year and it was obvious the NS front wing didn't line up with the door.
To me its basic stuff looking at shut lines etc when purchasing. More than likely perfectly fine car but I wouldn't pay top money for a car with dodgy lines.

If it was your car with the same plate you can’t get into trouble for saying anything about the cars true past. Just don’t slag the dealer off.
They could be innocent in all this but if it’s on the same plates he should be in the know I doubt traders buy cars without HPI checks etc.
Is it illegal to knowingly sell a car that has been damaged? Must be
If it is report it to who ever you can.

Selling a car with incorrect mileage is illegal but selling a damage repaired car is not. I have always thought this is slightly odd because one is just a con but the other is potentially deadly.
