Hi guys,

My water spray on my sti type r has never worked on auto setting before but have notice on some heavy right foot action i can see that the back washer water comes out. This problem must be related surely?

My STI spits a little water out the back washer when you really give it some but it doesn't have IC spray so may not be related.
Pain in the *** when you have just washed it.

Probably the stalk/wiring getting shoved around

I get water squirting under acceleration too.

My doctor says it a sign of getting old.

I think he said it was my prostate but then my hearing's none too good either so he could have said "It was a p*ss take!"

Its a common problem to be honest. Caused simply by the water in the pipe being thrown to the back of the car and out the washer jet. Theres not any valves or anything in the sytem at the back end so the water is just sitting in the pipe.

Thanks for that a simple fix then just put a one way valve in

I never thought the car would be to quick for the water in the washers
