The trouble I can see from the above is you don't know who is going to be coaching you....

If I was looking for Advanced Driver Training for the road I would contact John Stevens, I have used him in the past for race coaching for the driver I manage and he is a top bloke. He does Advanced Road driving as well as race driving.

I've been with them.

Absolutely superb. I recommend that you look on the testimony section of the site, this hopefully give you an indication of the instructor who will be taking you out.

I would also recommend giving the owner, Julian, a ring and discussing your objectives.

I'm gonna book it tomorrow and I think there's a fortnight's wait.

I spoke to someone the other day and he said the course that I'll be doing is all practical, all in your own car (which I was hoping for).

He originally said it wouldn't be worth doing that course locally as Imprezas and Evos have too much grip and I'd not get anything out of it. He said it definitely was if I went to their course in Newbury though as it's a better track; giving the Impreza room to maneuver.

If he is still working, you will probably be having Alan as your instructor.

He took me on the roads he used to use for training purposes when he was an traffic instructor, up New Forest way. Lots of good roads with relatively good visibility, a perfect place to hone your overtaking skills.

The wait was longer than two weeks but my course is booked for the 3rd June. I can't wait!

I'm doing mine from Newbury to Leicestershire and back as the aerodrome up there is bigger - they said the ones close to Southampton are no good for Imprezas and Evos as they have too much grip to explore the cars' limits on the smaller circuits.
