My opinion is, make sure you are pally pally with the bank manager before even thinking of getting one.

There's no such thing as a 1994 tiptronic WRX.
Only Jap spec New Age WRX are offered tiptronic option (called Sportshift), that means they are only available from MY01 onwards. Notice that this Sportshift is unique to Japan & isn't available anywhere else. Apart from Japan (& area where Jap spec cars are sold officially), only Oz & USA have the option of autobox.

Could it be this?....

What is it? The Sensonic system is a simple add-on device to your car that literally helps you step the clutch pedal while you change gear. It will add to your manual transmission vehicle, a semi-automatic system and thus relieving your leg the burden of having to step on the clutch pedal to change gear.

I have a 94 WRX Auto - and it is a conventional 4 speed auto - with a "Power" button....

The 4WD system is different to the manual version (i.e. computer controlled) - like a Porsche 959....

If it really is tiptronic then it is not a standard Subaru fitment.

Thanks

Gavin
