How do you ...
... adjust the handbrake?
Is there a hole in the rear disc drum through which you get access to a ratchet?
MY00 Classic.
Cheers

There is a rubber gromet covering an inspection hole on the metal back plate behind the disc,If you look at the back of the disc you should see it,Just remove the gromet and you will see the cam adjuster.

Cheers John - will take a look ..... trouble is that the car rolls back a smidge when I get out after pulling the handbrake on (I don't pull it hard, need to make sure it engages after 3rd click)

I have been led to believe that you need to align all wheels such that the valves are at the top of their turning circle, then align the crank sensor before you even consider removing the discs to fix the handbrake .
A Subaru mechanic told me this, fully trained of course

To do it properly you need to adjust out the rear handbrake shoes until they just clear the drum (adjust them out until they lock the wheel, then back off until wheel just rotates freely without any drag - obviously wheel has to be off the ground to check this). The brake shoes experience very little wear, so not much adjustment should be required.
Then adjust the cable adjuster at the base of the handbrake to take the slack out of the cable - the cable stretches slightly over time. 3 clicks is the absolute minimum - make sure the handbrake is not binding after you've finished the job.
