How many of us have owned a P1 for over a year?

I've hade my P1 for a year now. Still love it to bits, and still get that 'feeling' when I drive it! I've noticed people seem to get rid of them before a year. Just wondered why? Can't see me without it.

Well my first P1 I only had for 2 Weeks before some To$$er smashed into it.
This one (My 2nd P1) I’ve now had for 16 months & I’m planning on keeping it for at least another year.
It still makes me grin every time I drive it.
Cheers

A fellow Surrey owner
i only got mine just before christmas
but can see that the only reason for getting rid of it would be the fuel comsumption which is far worse than the turbo i had before
but i love it & have no intention of getting rid for ages !

It seems to me there are a lot of people who will always buy the very latest newest best impreza or other brand. They will claim it is for the power, for the handling etc. A few months later when the next greatest thing is out, suddenly the power and handling isn't what it was and they must have the new car. I think maybe its actually the image of someone with the latest car they want rather than any actuall real desire for the car in itself.
Personally I think it takes a while to get used to a new car, appreciate and exploit the subtleties. There again maybe thats the view of somone who can't afford a new car every six months.

Had mine for 12 months next Monday. Best car I've ever owner, best car I've ever driven and will not be getting rid of it any time soon, at least another 18 months. As for fuel consumption I've had 28Mpg out of it and I've had about 14, really depends on how you drive it but the P1 does tend to promote the use of the right foot.

Surrey seems to be one of the P1 counties. There are a couple that I see regularly and one of the lads at work never fails to inform me when he sees one, as he did the other day in the Guildford ladymead Burger King car park, 2 of them.
Would be interested in getting as many P1s together as possible at some point cause it always makes for a good photo shoot and travelling in convoy all in the same car is a lugh as well.

Had mine 7 mths and i LOVE it, sure it depresses me sometimes when i let the heavy right foot over-ride my bank balance on fuel consumption.
However, it did 30mpg on a return trip Brum - Stranraer, cannot ask for more
I am keeping it because i sure as hell cannot think what else i would rather have!

Had mine 18 months and love it never had one problem with it, all these people who go on about spending £100's of pounds a month on there cars must be mad, other then £350 on a scooby sport zorst and £500 on bigger stoppers plus £280 on 2 services thats all it has cost me in a year and a half, iam never getting rid of it what can you get for that money else where.I know all the p1 knockers will now go on about how much they have lost etc etc etc but f**k them i thick this has been the best value performance car i've ever had.

I've had my P1 13months now....21K miles on and its still ace
Its my third Impreza turbo....I too wasted loads of money owning a MY00 for 11 months prior to this one and got smacked round the head loosing 7.5K on trading up for the beast. Funny - I seem to remember getting hit for 6K when upgrading from my MY97 to the MY00 - so as you can see - I think I've lost enough on cars for the time being.
The new STI 7 is very temping - but I can resist. Its frightening to know that I'd be looking at getting such a poor sum for trading up.
I get to drive an STI7 for an entire day very soon - I am not convinced it will be as rewarding or as quick as my P1 - but I'm prepared to be wrong.
I think 3 imprezas on its maybe time for a change - it seems a little blinkered to not be able to see into other marques. Yes - you heard right - the scooby is a great car - but there *are* other interesting vehicles to drive out there.
We'll see what happens
