Did Pickering to Whitby and back again this afternoon. Best one I've done since xmas..... roll on the lighter evenings and drier roads, that's what I say.

Skipton to Harrogate is a good road (A59) Just look out for all the Scoobie police cars !
I suppose anywhere in North Yorkshire is quite good seeing as there are no fixed speed cameras

B1255 from Caistor, Lincolnshire towards Horncastle, 20 miles of all types of corner and speed. Anyone going to Cadwell Park circuit from the North of England is well advised to try it, from the M180 J4, take the A18 to Brigg, and then the A1084 to Caistor.
One BIG warning, on race days particularly if its bikes the traffic cops are much in evidence the closer you get to the circuit, otherwise no traffic cops or cameras.

Yeah, the A686 is brilliant, especially the wide open bits near the top where you can straight-line the corners (excellent visibility). Hairpins aren't so good though in a laggy car like a Legacy.
I had a great start to the year on it!

I'd go for the A68 between Corbridge and Carter Bar (Scottish Border) the first section has a mixture of long straight with quite a few blind summits. There's one crest that has a max speed limit of 30mph it's that severe, I've had the front wheels off the ground once.. Gulp, never again. The rest of the route has lots of long sweeping bends, overall a good variety and there's no cameras on there.
Nothing better than a dry bright day and the sound of a flat four.

Agree with both Brooke and Octane Man, and the A68 from the A1 to Corbridge is pretty cool too. I told a few people at a SIDC meet a couple of months back about breaking the suspension on my mothers XR2 just after I passed my test. It was at the very crest OM mentioned!!!

Horton in Rib to Hawes , B6479 & B6255.
Middle of no-where. Some hair raising crests and fab straights.
Just watch out for Sunday drivers and tourist traffic in Summer.
Not too fast, more of a challenge on concentration and good lines
Watch out for a Pug 205 GTi in Yellow on a pre-hillclimb shake down
