The Joys of Driving an Old Classic ...
Insurance with LV is now £249:58 Fully Comp. with an accident on it too (wife but no fault claim) - seems quite reasonable
£250 XS
I guess the car and I are getting on a bit?

That's better than mine, I am getting quoted £1100 at 31 years too old. However my bad luck was the fact I had nothing but company car's most of my working life.
The private car's I did own never stayed in my hands for more than 6 months so I kind of shot myself in the foot - advice to young drivers: buy a shed and insure it, leave it in your garage (use it for shopping or driving to your broken down scooby) and then enjoy the no claims when your hair turns grey.

The best tip I was ever told was this, never insure the vehicle with yourself only to drive ........ it works out amazingly cheaper if you add some Aunty or Granny to your policy (they will never drive it but the price drops significantly!)
You could actually make someone up, 45 years old, driven for 38 years, no convictions, no accidents, no claims, no health issues, female with children at home, Mrs Shiela Smith maybe? ...... they will never drive, never claim, never figure in any incident - therefore they will never be instrumental in an issue and will never need to be produced
