which petrol?
way i see it is if a 10 year old scooby is around 3/3.5k, you'd still service it etc but maybe not treat it exactly as you would a brand new one. if you owned one for a couple of years and still maintained it as you should you aint gonna get the 3.5k back you paid for it.
servicing is servicing. most people take it to the garage and trust them to use the correct oils/fluids. but ive never really understood this petrol thing... is there really much differnce in the stuff which is usually around 3p more than the 'standard' stuff? some people talk about mpg and think the extra few pennies when filling up makes a difference. not really. but what IF you didnt use the high-grade stuff? would it make that much difference?

I wouldn't be a tight ****. 3p more per litre, £1.50 per tank. It's not so bad and most users of the higher grade stuff feel the difference.

no i dont think i have, thats why i asked! im sure it was only a matter of pence difference?? what i meant by mpg is some people seem to think theyre expesive to run because they use the dearer petrol which in turn makes the mpg figure lower to the £.
ive seen one recently advertised on ebay or autotrader (forget which) thats got an LPG conversion!! so i take it thats not a good idea?
