Unconnected 'plug' on sti type R

Default Unconnected 'plug' on sti type R

Hello

Have discovered an unconnect plug in my engine bay, its situated close to the driveres side near the suspention strut. Its white in colour and not attached to anything.

any ideas what its used for and if it should be plugged somewhere?, i can seem to see where it goes.

Has the car got a decat? its probably for the cat fire sensor

I initially thought that, but the CAT sensor is near where the downpipe joins the centre pipe so it must be something else.

Looks to be near the MAF sensor but that's just a wild guess! I'd suggest asking on here... 22B Bulletin Board

yeah its near the maff sensor - the second photo is taken aback a little

How manny wires? I have one with about 6 near that mounted on the Air box. cant see any others that colour.

As mentioned above, it is for the "cat on fire" sensor - The wire to the sensor runs down the side of the bulkhead and chassis leg
