Got a bit bored this lunchtime, so I thought I'd do a bit of research into latest Scoob sales figures. Got my data from www.smmt.co.uk.
· Scoob sales for last year were 9,767 which is a 0.4% increase over the previous year
· Sales for last month were 819 a 56% increase
Scoob sales last were flat against a rising market (10.7% across the board). Strange jump last month though with a 56 % rise. Was this getting rid of a load of P1s?! Any ideas
There are no figures for individual models, but the Turbo/WRX has accounted for 6 500 units p.a. most recently, or approx two thirds of all sales.

The Smmt figures are for registrations not sales, there may have been a whole load of dealer demo's registered, New Sti's?, but I can check the figures more carefully if anyone is really bothered.

December: registering any remaining P1s, registering all the new STI Type-UKs (possibly) and maybe either dealers or car supermarkets registering all their MY01 WRXs because they'll be out of date anyway.
Can't see why people would have bought so many new ones in Dec...

I bought a new Scooby at the beginning of November last year. The deciding factors in buying earlier than I intended were a £1500 price reduction and very cheap finance (5.9% APR).
Perhaps I wasn't the only one drawn in by the deals....
By the way, this is the first performance car I've owned and I couldn't be happier with it!

Well it took me a while to get the hard copy data, but for the benefit of Nigel H, here are the actual figures.
Subaru registrations last year totalled 7686 for all models. Of which 5524 were Impreza's (all variants).
In December they registered 284 WRX 4-dr, 48 WRX 5-dr, 5 UK300, 1 STI Type UK, and 3 STI Type UK Prodrive. If anyone wants it even more specific e-mail me.

My company pays a sh*t load of cash per year to get this information. So the answer is no its not generally available.
If your thinking of what a sh*t load of cash is, take the list price of a WRX and double it and you'll be close!!!

Mal,
I bought the car from Simpsons of Swindon (01793 762234). The impression I got was that the offer was for a limited period - but they would say that, wouldn't they?
Delivery time was down to 2 to 3 weeks and mica paintwork was free. The only restriction was that no bucket seats were available, but we didn't mind that.
The finance was through the dealer so I don't know whether it applies across all Subaru dealerships. The OTR price was £20,450 and we paid a £3K deposit, with the finance over 3 years and a balloon payment of £9K.
Mildo.

i thought that 5.9% deal sucked .you pay the interest on the whole of the remaining bal including the ballon .so if you say didnt want a ballon at the end and divided the 9k by 36 months add this to what you are paying (at 5.9%) then work out what you would pay monthly if you borrowed the whole lot from tesco's at 8.7% you'll be surprized. oh yeah you gonna borrow that 9k in 3 years?
am i wrong?
