Lowering an STi.. yay or nay?
Wanted some opinions about lowering a blobeye STi (and any Impreza for that matter).
I am of the opinion they shouldn't really be lowered beyond what they are setup for in the form of Prodrive springs etc, with the right size alloys (18" in the case of the PPP cars) the car is well balanced.
However I always felt they stood a little high. As most of our driving is done on daily roads, I wondered how lowering the car further than the Prodrive setup affected the vehicle dynamics?
Am I right in thinking the camber/castor gets messed up and you need to get your car geometry reset with the new height?
I want my car to hug the alloys, not be a great deal but enough to bring the lines of the body even with the 18" rims however I am worried the vehicle dynamics will go to pot and I will need to redo the geometry (at cost).

YAY get it lowered with prodrive springs.. improves ride, handling and gets rid of the daft wheel arch gaps, ive got them on my STI (see my scooby)
but you WILL need the geometry re-doing after instalation.

I agree... do it, makes the car far better than it is out of the box (both looks and handling if the geo is set right.)
I recommend the STi Pink Springs though, as these are more perfectly matched to the standard shocks.

i had eibach pro street coilovers on me bug sti , they arent as adjustable as some other coilovers they are simply height adjustable, but they sharpened up the handling no end aswell as making the car look soo much btter

but very worthwhile,
