Default What do you think of this as a limited edition McRae.

I really do hope that Subaru come out with a limited edition McRae Impreza to celebrate his life and that the car has an aggressive rally look about the car which would do justice to Colin McRae`s aggressive driving style.

I`m sure their are people that can do a better photoshop version than the one i have done, ive tried to get to do what i think would be a modern version of a 22b if one was to be done.

Maybe a few people can have a go at something similar just to see what you think would be a fitting tribute to Colin in a car being named after him.

Nice work, i like it a lot.

Its how a subaru should look and not like this thing we are getting next year that looks cheap and bland.

Yes it does. Pity it doesn't exist unlike the Legacy GT Spec B /STi

Subaru Liberty 2.5GT spec.B Sedan - Overview - Subaru Australia

Colin first started with Subaru driving Legacys, why not create one as a tribute to him.

Remeber there already has been a Series McRae limited edition produced by Subaru and Prodrive.
I used to own one.

Series McRae

In June 1995, to celebrate their winning of both the manufacturers and drivers World Rally Championship titles, Subaru in the UK released a limited edition run of two hundred cars (numbered 1 to 201 - no number 13!) prepared by Prodrive going by the name of the Series McRae. The main improvements over the standard model are:
  • Special mica blue paintwork
  • 6.5 x 16 inch eight spoke gold Speedline Safari alloy wheels
  • Pirelli P Zero 205/50 ZR 16 low profile tyres
  • Recaro sports front seats with open headrests and Series McRae motifs
  • All seats (front and back) and door panelling retrimmed in Le Mans/Avus material
  • Factory fitted electric tilt and slide sunroof
  • Interior numbered Series McRae plaque
  • Side and rear Series McRae decals
On the road price was £22,999

Here's an old scanned in pic of mine.

Another would be nice but the 4 door is now out of production.

Cheers
Lee

I had one of the original series McRae brand new in August 1996 on a P reg model no 189, sold it @ 4 years old.
I would be very interested if the made another to celebrate the life of Colin.

That looks like one I saw in Ashton under lyme many years ago when I bought my 1st scoob (1998) dont tell me it was the one and freak me out, it's just the gate beside the car looks familiar, don't ask me why I remember it so well, just one of those images that stuck in my mind

Yip,

There's also 2 Richard Burns ltd editions, RB5 & RB320

Would be fitting maybe in a Legacy, or they made a new 2 door.

No, picture was taken in Notts.

It did go to quite a few meets and trackdays around 99,00,01 so you may have seen it then.

Cheers
