It wont be a version 7 on a 53 plate, they would be a version 9, I also take it this is a twin scroll blob eye version and not a bug eye Spec C?
As for what to look for, crashed, thrashed and service history, oh and if its from Keighley, dont buy it.

Tony right

ask for the Model code and check if it is the Model stated should be something like a....IIRC a 02 Type RA is GDBB4FH or GDBB4HH and a 03 Type RA is GDBC4FH or GDBC4HH

An Import will have an auction sheet and it's rating 1,2,3,4 or 5 (is the best ) for a 2003 you want to get a 4 or 4+

IMHO

Walk away from that, its meant to be an S202, great but if I remember correctly that one (or one very similar that took ages to sell) came from keighley trade center, not really a place you want to buy a car from, it would never be a 53 reg car unless they did something with the documentation as the original cars came out in 2002 so would have been sold as such (would have needed to have been registered at first registration in japan and as these all sold in the first month of release in 2002 that doesnt make it a 2003 car )
Its also not a twin scroll turbo, that was the 2003 blob eye cars running a vf36 turbo, that has a single scroll vf34 turbo.
Personally if it were me, wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.
Just a quick addition, ill tell you whats missing off this car that should be on there....
Carbon Fibre spoiler, Rays alloy wheels, grooved brembo brake discs, titanium exhaust, and thats for starters!
This is what one is suppose to look like (bottom picture, white S202)

As what Tony said, there is a nice Spec C on sale in the For Sale section, there has been many threads about that yellow monster and appears for sale every so often.
