The Latest Type-R's to come in Yellow was the Version 4.
V5 & V6 didnt come in yellow... i know cuz i wanted a yellow V5, my scoob dealer told me this and if u search on the net im sure you'll find the same answer...
theres a few look-alikes tho... yellow V4 type-R's with facelift bumpers and spoilers....

Version 3 STi's were the only 2 doors to come out in Yellow, and i under the impression the yellow color was called "Bright Yellow".
Version 5 STi's did not come out in Yellow, but Version 6 STi's did....
V6 STi, V6 STi wagons and V6 STi RA's all came in the Cashmere yellow.
Australia recieved a limited number of Cashmere WRX's (250 sedans and 50 wagons) all indiviually numbered.

Check out my wagon for an example of a Cashmere Yellow STI 6!
I'm sure I read somewhere that Cashmere yellow was something to do with Subaru Australia Rally colours, hence the Australian release mentioned above.
Also think earlier type R's are in a much brighter yellow colour, not cashmere which I believe it limited to the version 6.
