Prodrive springs
Are they worth fitting to an 06 UK STI? What's this about geometry too?
Also, how much are they and where would be the cheapest place to buy?

Yes, wouldn't have mine without.
Had mine done at Mocom Racing turns a lurching subaru into a go-cart !
From memory £225 + £65 a corner to fit. Get yourself SIDC membership and thats worth about £50 off that. Had mine fitted into the deal as I had the WRX Springs before and they are superb. STi with the prodrive springs is a must for me

IIRC dealer Price includes fitting the Front uprated Bump stops which might not be included elsewhere. Then approx £100 for "Proper" 4WD alignment
Also as said take then to a Independant a 4 wheel alignment specialist. Most dealers TBH are not in the same league IMHO
£225 for springs + £325-350 fitting and alignment is about right although with SIDC discount
I have to agree Prodrive springs are the best for Newage STi althought would consider Eibachs for a Newage WRX

IIRC Eibach only make a set of springs for the newage "Impreza" and not one set for the STi and one set for the WRX.
The cost of Dealer "WRX" springs are very much the same as the Eibach "WRX/STi" spring and less if you use SIDC discount.
The added cost of the Prodrive "STi" springs is because they include the front strut bump stops. if you use the SIDC discount they are simular cost as the Eibach "WRX/STi"
IMHO IIRC
Tony
Ps I had Eibachs fitted to my brand new 02 STi they were later replaced with the Prodrive springs and was a vast improvement.

The PD springs were my second mod. Think the springs are £225 and about £300 for fitting & geometry.
As said previously, the car handles so much better, less roll. You do feel every dent/crack/hole in the road.
Drive over a rizla and you will put your back out.
....oh, and get ready for the introduction of a dash rattle.

Just had Prodrive springs fitted to my 07 STi - early days but there is a vast improvement in body roll and handling.
I paid £400 fitted at my local dealer and was told to let the springs settle for around 1k miles before getting the geometry done. The dealer then quoted me £50 + vat for this. They don't do it themselves, they give it to a local company to do.
Reckon i might get it done elsewhere tough.

Ouch !!
I'm fortuneate to have 3 dealers within 25 miles of me so called them all up and the best price i actually got was £396 fitted, this did have an SIDC discount though.
The dealer i got them done at was where i bought the car from (and is the nearest),so i'm trying to get a bit of a rapport going with them.Besides this they do seem to know their stuff and are very friendly / helpful. So helpful in fact that, although they originally quoted me £525,i got them down to £400 on the back of the other cheaper quotes i'd got elsewhere.
I'm one of these people that try and barter for anything,it's worth a go and they can only say no.I was lucky on this occasion as i was genuine with the quotes,so if they didn't budge with their price i was going elsewhere.

I took advice on this and i decided to get the geometry done after all.As i've posted on another thread about my experience i won't duplicate the message so go here https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...mechanics.html
My trust in dealers has dwindled somewhat.

Yep drives much better ta.
A bit gutted though - on the way home they were relaying a stretch of road.Due to the **** way they do things in this country they are laying bitchimim(?) and laying loose stones on top.My car therefore now has tarmac on the wheels, tyres and bodywork whilst i will no doubt have lots of stone chips on the body. Not a good day really
