hehe, first post this year
Just a thought Phil, you weren't on ice were you?
I'd go genuine scoob parts as a bare minimum and get the full kit including bearing rather than just the plate.
Yes it is quite a big job.
Personally I'd avoid the likes of mr clutch etc like the plague but that's just me
Best of luck, Bob

You do mean clutch and not CRUTCH eh Phil
Sounds like it's deffo on the way out unless there's any adjustment left.....I wouldn't trust a Mr Clutch type of place mate....they're often not as cheap.....surely TSL will sort it
Happy New Year by the way
x from Lesley.....

Phil,
i dont think that there is going to be much in the standard subaru clutch and a decent uprated one so if you can go for the ap organic or a helix one its just the fitting thats suppose to be a pain

OH no Phil.
Dont go too mad with uprating the clutch you will end up breaking the transmission and with a car thats a pain to drive. AP organic would be a good choice.
I'm sure Trouser will sort it out.

I had my clutch done a month after purchasing my car, along with a major service at a local garage near to me.
They were superb about it, very professional, friendly, gave me all of my old parts back and I blagged a superb deal
46,000 mile service + clutch and fitting, they also checked the car over for me - brakes, turbo etc as I wanted to be sure it came over from Japan with no other niggles for a £595 inc VAT
Up until I decided to rearrange the front end with a Scottish road sign the car ran perfect.

Happy New Year,
Try giving the lads at Town End Garage a ring 01524 733837 - they fit a clutch in my friends Subaru a month ago Clutch Kit £160.00 - Labour £100.00 all plus the dreaded VAT of course.
They seem to the cheapest around at the moment.
Hope this helps,
Impreza Babe.

thats why i will pay for the AP from TSL least i know it will be done correctly by a Subaru Rally team of tech's who know the cars inside out! and it's £750 all in! not much differant in price to a standard Subaru one.
will ring you Rich....tonight?
