Just got hold of some legacy rear tail ate struts,not suspension struts,the gas filled tail gate lift struts.

anyhoo,can these be fitted to the bonnet as i have seen a few scoobs with bonnet struts lifing it up,i have all the mounting plates/bolts/ipples etc

any info etc etc would be good,pics etc

you should just be able to unscrew the ball joints from almost any car and use them...then have a butchers at some of the after market lifters and copy their mounting brackets

just been down this road but my bonnet it too light for them

I would imagine most users on here haven't seen Legacy boot struts before, so someone is going to ask for pictures/dimensions a some point. Once you've got that info, you could ask the manufacturers themselves.

try searching e-bay there are some generic ones that will give you an idea...and have a google for Tein ones...

i had a quick gander on ebay but none in the uk for the impreza,all i need is pics of how they mount to make my legacy ones mount

my last concern before i fit them (have had the nipple re-threaded to suit the size 6mm thread of the wing bolts) is wil they be too strong,as there from a bootlid ??
