Don't quote me on this but I think that your car maybe the first of the Sti's version "1" where im sure they only made a limited edition run of only 100, is the rear spoiler level halfway between the mid level and large sti spoiler.

If its 'of 100' then itll mention the Acropolis Rally too (on the plaque). STI converted 300 Saloons and 300 'Wagons from standard cars in 1994 and because of this, they have normal applied model numbers. 100 of each were built initially, with a further 200 of each being built afterwards ('of 200'), to meet the high demand.

That's a STI v1, they were initially limited to 100 and there are a few still kicking about, came with 260 bhp (iirc) it was lighter than the wrx with alloy wishbones, bonnet etc. there is a site dedicated to these but i can't remember it. Go to sidc scottish section and pm squirrel about it he'll know it. It has all the info about sti 1's.
Johnny
Just noticed sti69's post, Mark (marky san ) was the guy who had the site, he used to have a black sti 1.
