Easy (assuming you mean intake not exhaust), instructions on scoobypedia.co.uk an dscoobymods.com, basically jack up the corner, drop out the arch liner and undo the bolts, whole assembly comes out, then either leave open, replace with a GP intake, or cut off the resonator and patch with fibreglass and refit the intake pipe.

Double the ram air effect, i like that..

This is a very simple job once you've done it once (20min). Set aside an hour and you'll be fine. Dont forget the bolt behind the fog lamp cover....

I compeltely removed the resonator when the CAIK was fitted, then ran a feed from a brake duct in place of the sti fog covers which does work well.

After reading this last night I decided that I would try it on mine MY03 STi
Not that difficult took about 30 mins, didnt remove the wheel just jacked it up. Main issue is if you have adult sized hands to get the bolt inside the wing, managed eventually though. Other issue I had forgotten about was I mounted my HID ballast on the bolt next to the airbox. Other wise I think 20 mins would be enough. I have cut the resonator and left the pipe to the airbox but only about 4 inches so the airbox pics up cold air from the wing and not the engine bay.
Has stopped the turbo squeeling and now sounds more like sucking and I think I can faintly hear the DV. Maybe switch to a forge recirc for a little more noise.

Scoobypedia page

http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...sonatorRemoval

But the whole site is pretty FUBAR at the moment!

Failing that, go intercontinental at Forester XT Silencer Removal (AKA Snorkus) - ScoobyMods
