Default cobra exhaust fitment

can any shed any light on wether a cobra backbox would fit straight onto my car. 53 blob sti. non resonated centre section.

I wanted to order a new back box but ive been told that they don't fit the standard system and I would have to buy a cat back.. is this right?

Bolted a Cobra back box straight on to my standard centre pipe, unless you have a non standard fitment centre pipe there shouldn't be a problem.

I bought a cobra non resonated full system a few years back and found it too loud so swapped the centre part to a resonated one.
From memory I'm sure it was only about 100 quid.
So not the end of the world of the back box doesn't fit
