Question What happened to my old car ?

I sold my beloved Scoob last September and the purchaser had to sell it on again fairly soon after due to personal issues. It was seen by a friend in my local area about 3 months back but not since. I've just done an RAC check and it comes back with "No descriptive data is held by DVLA for registration number YS52HGP" and the plate is not showing as available on the DVLA website. Maybe they've put a personal plate on and the old one hasn't made it back into circulation

Any suggestions as to tracing its whereabouts, or does anyone have access to free HPI checks through work ?

Only curious !

the original plate is probably in the system..... waiting to be returned to the car if needed.... strange but we were told 90% of the time a car is given the reg back.....

reg no is retained by DVLA unless its worth selling again so nothing will show up for it. Only way to check new reg no is HPI type check.

If it comes up "unlicensed" with a date of liability in the past I take this means its probably been written off?

Two of my last three scoobs show as this. Including my beautiful MY00 Prodrive.
