have a look new 2008 wrx, I give it 7 out of 10 overall. Performance figures not bad, good review, great chassis, interior looks lush, cant wait to see the sti tho......., still looks watered down subaru moving away from that high performance, lean mean road machine look, defo the more mature performance hatch kinda motor, not my cup of tea looks wise but i'll reserve judgement till i lay my eyes on the sti.....................

I dont understand why the WRX is not coming to the UK?
I think it looks rubbish, compared to the efforts of Honda, Nissan and Mazda.
The interior in the strage white did not help much, from the back it looks ok but the front end, once again, does not look right. A big shame IMHO.

interesting review, agree the colours for the test car did not help ! Need to see it in the flesh and in darker colours ! Still want to see the STI version before I decide to get another Subaru or start looking else where.

I thought it looked a little bit better in those pictures, but that must be the least practical interior I've ever seen! No matter how careful you were it wouldn't look like that for very long I suspect...

I predict that within two years, the new scoob will be "just another hot hatch"
Let's face it, the present models aren't that much quicker than a few of the hotter models around, and cost quite a lot more money.
TBH, if I were buying now, I'd be looking more towards a SEAT Ibiza or Leon.

If subaru want to go down the hatchback route then they should try and come up with a design that at least looks as good as the competitors for example if they are planning on building a WRC rally car then they are up against cars like this Photo Gallery: inforally.sibiul.ro :. New Peugeot 207 R Cup Concept Pics
which in my opinion looks the bus.

Surely it's about how the car is going to drive too. When I bought my STI I still wasn't sure about the scoop on the car or in fact the gold wheels. However the performance blew me away. If the japanese gods of everything fast and electrical have enhanced a good car setup does this not make the looks fade into the backgroud. After all would you buy a ferrari if it's 0-60 was 15.2 seconds?
