Pistonheads and here. Although 2ndhand prices are quite low at the moment.
Make sure you get a good deal on the new one, bear in mind a brand new Impreza Turbo is now about £14.5k at the car supermarkets, so pay accordingly for an older one.

I'd part ex it. Done that with my last 2 Scoobs and got over top book. Last one, a WRX Blobeye PPP depreciated £2170 in 2 years and 30k. Personally I can't be bothered with the hassle of selling privately any more.

I normally p/ex as well but it usually takes a few different garages and often going backwards and forwards a bit before you can get them up to the private sale value - well usually about £500 (on a £18k-£20kish value car) less or thereabouts. Worth avoiding the canvassers and test pilots though.

Like I said, never take the first offer... I made some enquiries earlier in the week when had a crisis and thought about selling my scoob. Got offered a mere £16k at first, he eventually went up to £19k by the time I changed my mind about selling at all
