Default Newbie, few questions!

Hi there, first post so please be gentle! I currently own a Civic Type R but I need something with 4 doors (Little un ) I have always liked Impreza'a and I am very tempted to get an STI.

I would like to know if anyone on here has gone from a CTR to an STI, how many miles on average do you get to a full tank. At the mo in my CTR I am getting 280 ish (K-Pro fitted) to a full tank mainly motorway miles. Reason I ask is because at the moment I am doing approx 1200 miles per month!

Also how regular are the services and what sort of prices are they?

Cheers people!

I went from a 2002 CTR that i purchased new, sold it after 3 years and got myself a 2003 STi PPP.

In the CTR i used to get around 300 miles to a tank. In the STi i get 190-220 after a remap and a few other small mods. be prepared to run it on V Power, with a full tank costing around £48.

Servicing and the cost of parts is a lot more expensive on the STi than the CTR. Be prepared for main dealer prices on consumables if your still under warranty. Example being: Front pads £210 & Rears £170!!
Services are every 10k miles or 12 months. once out of warranty then you can find yourself a good local independent specialist who charge far less, and in my dealings with Mocom do a superb job.
My car recently had it's 50k service @ Cambelt and i got change from £300. Major services are closer to the £400 mark without brakes.

I am not being funny, but if you need to ask then you cant afford it.
These are not cars that you run if you have to budget for fuel etc....

Its not just an issue of money as I am considering buying a diesel as well and having the scoob as a 2nd car for weekends and nights (when the roads are empty )
