Or anyone who appreciates quick, well tuned motors actually
YouTube - MTM Supercharged B7 Audi RS4 Clubsport!
I know, I know.. a classic is still better. Look how fat and heavy that car is, another wafeerrrr thin mint and it would explode.
Has anyone supercharged the subaru engine ?
I've seen a project subaru with 2 superchargers and 2 turbo, but thats not really a practical car you can use, so I mean supercharged one for normal use.

Certainly in North America, where the classic cars were never offered as a turbo model, people tend to turbocharge the 2.5 NA engine, rather than supercharging it. My guess is that turbo, rather than super charging is more normal for an impreza engine, as it's done elsewhere with the WRX.

Ideally you want a small supercharger for low revs boost and a turbo which takes over for high revs boost. It avoids the 'nothing-nothing-nothing-kick in the back' associated with small cc blocks with larger turbos.
Or just do what that audi has done, a stick a whacking great sexy whistling supercharger on a big engine and be done with it

Agreed...
Taken from a review...
The centerpiece of the MTM RS4 Clubsport package is the liquid-to-air intercooled, Lysolm-type, belt driven supercharger that resides directly underneath the carbon fiber bulge on the hood and feeds the car with 0.45 bar (6.5 psi) of fresh air. This cleverly designed package sits smack dab between the cylinder heads within the “V” of Audi’s 4.2 liter V8 and boosts power levels to a very impressive 535 horsepower and 428 ft-lbs of torque. The engine internals and compression ratio remains 100% stock. A special carbon fiber vent on the hood gives extra clearance to the supercharger and helps keep underhood temperatures checked. The blower assembly completely replaces the stock variable length intake manifold.
