Default 2003 WRX

Please could someone help me out as new to subaru's, I had been looking for a WRX bugeye in blue, but just came across an 03 blobeye in blue but with 84k on the clock, stated as immaculate with full subaru history, priced at £7695, I have only seen it through glass as the garage was shut by the time I got there tonight, is it worth this price and is it likely to have any major problems on the horizon, I do about 8k per year and plan on keeping it for 3 years so likely to be over the 100k when I sell, does it sound like a good buy or would I be better to get a lower mileage bugeye, as I have spotted a few 50-60k mileage ones for about this price, any help appreciated, as I have no experience with them at all and don't want to buy a load of rubbish as I would have to keep it for 3 years before I could afford to change it, comments welcome,
also I have never been in one before so don't know what to expect when driving it.

Thanks in advance

it's a good price but if you have seen others the same age and less mileage then you've answered your own question

I'd rather have one that's done 84k's worth of gentle miles than 40k's worth of thrashed ones! Lower mileage cars aren't always the best option. I'd get someone out to have a look at it and see how they think it has been driven.
Price wise that's damn good though!

thanks for reply, but the others I have seen are bugeyes and I think the blobeye looks better, I just wondered if in this price range a 60k bugeye or 84k blobeye would be the best buy, my heart says that the blobeye looks better but am unsure if would be buying a load of hassle due to the mileage. I have no intentions of keeping the service history up though as I always do all my own work, I am capable as have had a 3 door cosworth for 15 years and have done all work including full engine rebuild, out of interest how will I find a WRX at 225bhp after driving a 2wd cosworth at about 310bhp will I find it slow on pickup or do they feel quick, I have no intention of selling the cossie though I don't use it enough now since I painted the underneath but I know I won't be popular in the ford circles, but who cares I will have and drive whatever I can afford, I can't be bothered with this apparent competition between the ford and subaru camps at the end of the day we are all car enthusiasts and may need to stick together if the government try anymore stealth tactics to get us off the roads. And Hi there to all fellow enthusiasts.

Could have had my silver 2002 WRX for 6k earlier in the week lol.

I would go for blob tbh. And the one with the best service history etc too.

if you do your own servicing then make sure you keep a record of all work and keep the receipts

i did all my own work on an old car that i owned for 8 years , was genuine 49000 miles when i sold it, the dealer gave me naff all as it had no SH

difference between the cossy and a wrx
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

why not consider getting an STi

cannot afford an sti without selling the cossie and have had it so long it is part of me every bit of it I know inside out, and I know if I sold it I would regret it big time not easy to find another, and also on classic insurance is only £260. I have been quoted about £550 for WRX age 39 in a B69 postcode with no tracker is this a good price.
