My driver turned right at the hairpin left at 2:19 and clobbered the bank

In the end there were three of us stranded on that corner and you may notice a yellow sign in the centre which read something along the lines of The Isle of Man welcomes careful drivers

What car were you in? Is the manx as mental as it looks?

Mk2 Escort probably at around the same time as the vid and yes but excellent when you get it right.

I recall sitting at home practicing the pace notes with an in car Ari Vatanen video - real struggle to keep up but worked a treat on the event!!

Do you have the specs on that BMW?

BMW does make an AWD system.
Would make sense that that car is AWD since it is a rally car.

Is that not the Rallying in the 80's video?

I'm just about to sell it too, shameless plug. One of the best rally videos i've seen, and had a few. Some great Group B action.

The car is a Prodrive built M3 (the proper one) they were rear wheel drive, BMW has never rallied a 4WD model

Real rallying from the days when drivers drove out of passion rather than for the dough.

No comparison to today's diluted Mickey Mouse WRC bo110cks.

They never will as they purposely refrained from entering WRC. I love AWD cars but front engined back wheel drive motors especially the E30 M3 are perfection. The current M3 and M5 package although regarded as superior are nonsense in comparison to the late eighties M powered
