You would not gain from that at all I would put a tdo5 turbo in and put a z4 ecu in that will give you 260bhp and is okay....have don e this to mine when i first started and it was great I also have a wagon cheers

Hello there, I've got a version 2 Impreza 96 Jap import (with a TD05 as standard).

At the moment its standard, bar a decat exhaust, and its running 260bhp.

In the next few weeks I'm having fitted a FMIC, SX FPR, Apexi Power FC and commander, Apexi 550 injectors, Equal lenght scooby sport headers, H&S bell mouth de-catt down pipe, Apexi power in take, Apexi AVCR, light weight pulleys, samco hoses, a new radaitor, walbro 255 fuel pump and a few other bits.

I'm hoping that little lot will get me around the 330bhp. I've over engineered a few bits there, but I wanna go further later on down the line. So it will be possible to get the 320bhp you want with less mods.

I've been buying the above bits piece by piece from shows, of scoobynet and e-Bay and to date I recon I've spent around £1.5K buying all the stuff. Quite cheap for the stuff I got. At least thats what I keep telling myself

Now I've got a £550 to get them all fitted plus £350+vat to have the power FC and AVCR all mapped so its running right.

Hope this gives you a good idea of prices, and a possible route to take.

If you don't want to spend money on the Apexi check out PolarPerformance as they offer 3 options to increase power.

Alway buy the best you can, its an older but in the case of Impreza's it still holds firm.

The more expensive tend to be the best and allow for furture mods should you wish to make them.

In my humble opinion, the Apexi Power FC and Commander pound for pound is the best value stand alone fuel mangement system out there. The only draw back is it doesn't control knock, although it does record it.

Other systems such as the Hydra, Motec, Scoobyecu, Atek are all well and good and come with loads of feature. But for the road user and occassion track dy man they have too many options that you would never use, and so you'd be wasting your money.

The Apexi allows for 20x20 mapping, you need no more. Check out most Scooby Net owners cars and you will see most modded examples have the Apexi.

Just get the oem ecu remapped, easily able to suport that powerl level with a few correct mods and retains all of the safety features. I'm offering that now (as are others) based on the latest ESL live mapping system for the MY92-96 cars

regards
