Bless 'em..

This post cracked me up...

VXRonline | AstraVXR | CorsaVXR | MerivaVXR | MonaroVXR | VXR8 | VectraVXR | VXR220 | ZafiraVXR | :: View topic - VXR vs M3

VXR vs an M3?! Rofl.. This quote especially:

Interesting post - I feel having driven both that the M3 is slightly quicker - but, I also think the margin is small
SLIGHTLY? .. VXR's are quick for a hothatch, but comparing it to a 300BHP M3? Please tell me they're joking.

/edit

M3's are far superior handlers...

But straightline, really, they are nothing impressive. Got left by one in my XE corsa, but not by as much as u'd think. I was most dissapointed by how he left me... £50k BMW Vs £2k Corsa....

God, why did you show me this forum!

Reading it is like watching an episode of the Office, horribly cringeworthy but highly addictive... Make it stop, please!

Hahahahaa!

What a joke....this cracked me up a treat...

"only vehicle that has really pi55ed all over me was a 911 turbo. that car is FAST!!"

I think these people think VXR's are the fastest cars on the road!.....i mean this guy thinks only a 911 turbo would hammer him???...hmmm i think not!

Astra VXR with a remap and a couple of bits is going to be circa 300Bhp. Low transmission losses is going to make it scooby fast in a straight line....

They are supposed to be pants around corners tho aint they, as the front wheels have to cope with 240bhp plus take charge of the steering

Clarkson recommended buying a Focus ST instead.. Said the VXR had way too much power for a front wheel drive car.. which meant horrendous torque steer in straight lines.

I highly doubt a 300BHP VXR would actually be faster off the line than an STI or WRX PPP, or even a WRX for that matter.. 4WD > FWD, even with less power.

mid-range would be interesting though... although i like the agressive looks i wouldnt like to own one.

Focus ST/RS & Golf GTi/R32 > VXR imo.

Mind you reading that forum - you never get anyone bigging up their car on this forum about how they beat Porsche/Ferrari/Koneinfginsinfaisnsnsegg/Lamborghini/Zonda in their standard, unmodified UK car on bare tyres.

Of course it would be raining and it would be the twisties (tm)
