Default STEERING WHEEL OFF CENTRE.....???

I have an eight week old my 07 wrx and the steering wheel is off centre to the left when driving even on a very straight road.. Does this mean my geometry is off even if it does not seem to pull to the left.. ..

Take it back the dealer then and see if they'll correct it

When I got my new car the steering was out as you say - the dealer said they do not have the equipment to set it up correctly! The factory release their cars with slight under steer.

Take it to a proper garage with electronic 4 wheel alignment equipment - NOT kwikfit. Get Prodrive recommended settings put on your car - it will feel so much better.

Don't think you are alone. Mine goes and stops perfectly straight so the tracking/alignment etc should be fine. HOWEVER! I am convinced that the MOMO badge is like 1 degree off centre. Most of the time i don't notice but once in a while....oooooh teeth grinding time and wobbling down the road trying to work out if it really is!

5t.

Eire, I had the same problem when I got my car - 4 wheel alignment sotred it, buts its moved out of line again since. This is my first scooby but I know a guy who drove them for years and he was never done getting the alignment done.

More than likely the roads over here are to blame!

My MX5 has the same problem, but thats because I removed the steering column assembly and didn't put it all back together properly. Safety first - thats what I say!

I couldn't tell you where to go Eire, I took mine back to the dealer, but thats probably a bit of a trek for you! I know Charles Hurst tyres on Airport Road have the full laser setup. I think they're excellent for tyres & exhausts (I used to have a shagged audi 90 20v that coughed its way into them regularly and they always looked after me) but I can't vouch for their alignment work.

As far as the settings go, I'm no expert and I'm sure I'll be corrected, but surely Prodrive has got to be the way to go?

Enjoy yourself in Belfast
