i used to use tesco 99 in mine,i found it had a hesitation at low revs.
i presumed this was normal until i had to use esso super it was like driving a different car.
i know use v-power i get better mpg and car is more responsive.
i suggest you try a different fuel and see if it makes a difference for you

Found that Tesco 99 returned around 220-230 miles per tank. V-Power is now returning 270miles!

Also had some hesitation when giving it some on boost, on Tesco 99 it was like "ohh you mean me... ok then". V-Power made that problem go. Never tried just normal 95 Unleaded - might be even better as the car is mapped for it from the factory hmmmmm.....

Sweet lord!

Feb 2007 a full tank of Shell V Power got my 2002 WRX Impreza (with 3 people and a bootfull of clothes) a pitiful 210 miles... I couldn't understand it...
Last year the same St Helens - Scotland drive got me to Pitlochry with some to spare, but on Vpower the same drive at the same rate of knots in the same car got me more than 40 miles short...

So, having tootled around Wester Ross for a week it came to coming home...
I filled the car with Mcdoodles Tartan 95ron petrol at Laide post office for £1.03per litre and managed 270 miles back to Glasgow
I filled up there at a service station on 95ron BP to do the last 180miles and when I got back had over a quarter of a tank left...

It may have been a bad batch, but al'a traditional englishness I didnt complain I just voted with my feet (and told everyone on SN, twice )

I regularly got 300+ from my mapped UK turbo with Optimax.

Bit stuck right now because the only place that sells SUL in Haverfordwest is Tesco - and its only 97. Struggles to get close to 300 but usually 250.

I recently got 270 + to a tank of V Power.Have been running it in though so not much driving above 4000 rpm for me.

Just had my 1st service and had to fill up with Tesco 99,now with no running in we'll see how many miles i get

from buying my uk turbo in dec. last year, i carried on the trend of using tesco 99 as in previous cars. thing was i developed hesitiation on boost. it would pull, stop, pull stop, pull stop, every second or so. i genuinly thought something was wrong with the car.

swapped to v-power, and two/three tankfuls later, boost problem disappeared. for the sake of paying about 3p a litre extra on v-power, i get a nice smooth increase on boost, and car runs smoother in general.

my tuppence... converted full time to v-power

Only used V Power once,as there is no Shell Petrol Stations within close proximity.

I did find after i filled up,and for several days later, that the car had a really strong smell of high octane fuel most of the time.
