Got stuck behind a Citreon 2CV tonight on the way home. I in my Fiesta (station car ok) trundling along at breakneck speeds of upto 35mph!!!! As we trundle down the long hill to Eridge he reaches speeds of 45mph..... when his roof disintigrates.
Cruel I know but I laughed... and laughed... kind of made up for missing a train by 1 minute and then the train I caught being 15 minutes late.
Sorry for this irrelevance.
Dave

Dave,
It can work the other way you know...
...I was on the m-way in traffic and a 328i convertible came past with massive rear quarter damage, and I laughed my head off, only to have an accident ten minutes later.
Sods law and all that!
Jim.

A couple of years back, one very icy morning a neighbour went out and poured a kettle of boiling water over her windscreen to clear the thick ice - serve her right if the windscreen cracks I think, starting up the heated front screen on my Mondeo.
Guess whose windscreen cracked ten seconds later.......
