Lots of questions from potential passengers spread over various threads, Just trying to pull them together a bit.
The people I know who are offering charity rides are (in no particular order)
JohnFelstead in his MegaWestie
Pete Croney (Scoobysport RA)
Harj (22b)sponsored by RSquire
Mike Tuckwood/SdB (Mikes car ?)
Stef (CK1)
DocJock (Wagon)
Any other drivers up for it ? Post here guys.
Passengers need to sign an indemnity. I will have a spare crash hat but your own will be better fitting.ie safer!
First come , first served in my car, don't know about the others. Cya there !!

I'd like to think that I'm up for it but I think I'll take a 'driving test' first. JohnF has offered to go round with me. If he says okay then the more the merrier I say!

First of all, thankyou for your support in advance.
Below is an outline of how the Passenger Rides for Children in Need will work, if you have any questions just fire away as usual.
There will be four officially participating cars, I will explain what that means.
The cars are
1) Westfield Zei220 (350BHP cosworth turbo) driver John Felstead
2) Subaru Impreza Rally Car (thankyou scoobysport) driver Pete Croney
3) Subaru Impreza 22B (thankyou rsquires) driver Harj Singh
4) Subaru Impreza Sti5 TypeR (thankyou scoobymania) driver Simon De Banke/Mike Tuckwood
The format for these 4 cars will be open track access, this means that we will have maximum time on track to raise funds for CIN and have plenty of time to strap people into the cars, ensuring the full harnesses in particular are properly fitted. This can take some time in the Westfield and Rally Car in particular.
On arrival at Donington you will need to visit race control to sign on as a passenger. This is located above the far right pit garages, looking from the paddock area.
To be able to ride as a passenger in any of the 4 cars above you will need to purchase a voucher from the Donington staff at signing on. These will cost £10 and will entitle you to 3 laps in one of the 4 cars. Should you wish to ride only in the participating cars then this is all you will require, one ticket per run is required. Simply come up to any of the 4 cars and hand your voucher over, we will strap you in and hopefully give you a ride you wont forget too quickly.
Donington will be running there usual passenger policy for all other vehicles on the day, where you will be required to sign on and obtain a wrist band, so you still have the option to sit with your friends or stef as usual. However the money paid for the Donington wristbands will not go to CIN and will not entitle you to a ride in the 4 cars listed above.
Should you wish to make a separate donation on the day yet not be a passenger in the 4 official cars that would also be very much appreciated and may be paid to the Donington staff in the signing on office.
Donington staff have agreed to administer the tickets/moneys for the day, so all vouchers/moneys will be handled by them for the day allowing us to concentrate on driving.
I am very grateful to Donington for helping make this happen, lets hope we manage to raise a large sum of money for a worthy cause. Thankyou again for your support and I look forward to meeting you all on the day.

hiya,
sounds *really* good fun.
It would be interesting to be taken out in a scoob by someone who can drive one .. i.e.
not me ;o)
I know there is another thread and know it
has probably been asked but can I just turn
for 9am if I get time?

Ahaaa..all questions answered. Sounds great and should get a wedge together for charity which is a bonus. I'll be there looking to fight through the crowds surrounding JF's westie and hopefully blag a ride for my 10 English pounds. Wouldn't mind a spin in CK1 too if Stef's up for it. With all this passenger talk I nearly forgot that my main reason for going is just to see what pace the scoobs can go round the track and soak the atmosphere of Super Unleaded and Octane booster up .

Go in Johnfs (been in a sport with him in the pouring rain in manchester....nuff said)-well worth it . Go with Harj, proper car and a fairly nice bloke too, hes quick also... , go with Doc Jock cause hes a nutter , Go in scoobsports car just to say you have been in it, go in Stefs to be shown what sideways is and go with that Simon De Banke bloke cause hes in someone elses car and we all know what hes like in other peoples cars (mike, your a brave man and must lurve SDB )
Gonna be an ace day, cannot make it myself But I am sure the celebs driving and the cars will be well worth the attendance either way.

Seeing as CK1's not an official participant in the event I will want to maximise the track time I have in my car. My door's are always open, though I have several friends coming up with me so they will obviously get priority. Just try and grab me when you can.
Apologies in advance to any nutte...people that I can't squeeze in.
Those of you that do grab a ride are more than welcome to make a contribution anyway (what to though I haven't yet decided! ).
Stef.

heheh. Both myself (&) SDB will be giving passenger rides in my car.
Simon is aware of the physical harm that could be suffered due to over enthusiastic antics
Mike.

So, what you are saying Ron is i Dont drive a proper car, i am slow, not that nice, fairly sane, dont have the appeal of scoobysport, can only drive in a straight line but i am gentle to other peoples cars!!
Hey, But I am worth it!! (flicks hair back in a Ginola stylee, now that is wishfull thinking ) LOL
See you all Sunday, Bring plenty of £10's, it's a good cause and will be a lot of fun.

Hi Chaps
My prime function will be as a demo instructor for Willie Green (I can't sit in passenger seats due to an unusually small dimension of pods! ), but will be driving Tuckshop's car at intervals during the day in aid of children in need (Thanks Mike).
John should be commended for his efforts in arranging this which he has done totally off his own back rather than part of an organisation that want publicity, etc. It has been a major head-ache for him, so well done mate!
Cheers
Simon
PS. I will be a free agent for much of the day, so just collar me if you would like me to abuse your car for you!

Thankyou for the kind words Simon, there are plenty of people besides myself who have helped make this happen, all four car owners/drivers in particular.
Hi Theo.
If anyone would like to make a donation seperately then they can telephone 0845 7332233
Alternatively you can email me and i will give you a contact address.
Dunno about paying for fuel though, i expect to use over £100 worth on track during the day. You could always buy my tyres for me, thats gonna cost me £450 LOL

Further to fundraising efforts of other, I thought I'd add my ten pen'th.
If anyone would like a photograph of themselves on a lap with one of the charity drivers please let me know before you go out.
The computer generated prints will be available on the day for the princely sum of £5. All of which will go into the charity 'pot'.

If not around the pits, I'll probably be around the press room, or you could always ask Pete C,Stef or Simon D B.
