1993 WRX ON UNLEADED-THE SITUATION?
If a 1993 import WRX has been running on normal unleaded fuel for 3 months what is the situation?
Flush and change it to (98 RON???) or could they be damage.

It should be ok - IIRC it was a small amount of STI's that actually suffered damage as a result fo running on lower octane fuel. The ECU will retard the timing if the onset of knock is detected
Obviously it won't be as happy, or perform as well as it would on SUL, but in term sof actual damage, I don't *think* you will have suffered any

Driven how? Like they were driving Miss Daisy then itll be fine. If they have caned it at every opportunity then it might be an issue. When that car was manufactured Japanese premium unleaded had a lower octane than people tend to presume, so the difference isnt that great.....
Unfortunately, very little retard is avaialble to the ECU, which deals with detonation very poorly.
