One of my customers and a good friend sadly had his new pride and joy carjacked last night in Mossley (Gtr Manchester) yesterday evening. He pulled up outside his house and was just letting the turbo cool down when another car (he thinks a black golf) screeched up. Two occupants then proceeded to smash on each side window with a bat and machete until he gave them the keys, they then held the blade to his throat and said if he reports the theft to the police they will come back. I would not want to see this happen to anyone else and will not sell another WRX etc without Tracker being fitted. Even with Tracker/anti hijack the driver would still have to go through this ordeal. I for one have seen enough of this thing and will not be driving another turbo variant apart from test drives. The car was a crystal grey 06my WRX SL PPP registration number MV56 JVM. Be careful out there peeps!

CID have told him to fit a panic button in his gaff, also they said the same gang have been sneaking into peoples houses and giving them a proper mullering with bats whilst they are asleep demanding the keys etc. Even if you got the car back you would worry if it happened again as my pal and his missus are proper scared after going through that experience. there are always idiots who say "why did you not drive off or put up a fight?" but until it happens to you one does not know how they would react. Plus its always easy to give it the big one with hindsight etc. I loved driving my 2.5 for six months and know the criminals have won in a way if we alter our daily drives but i aint going through that not for any car.

Had an attempt on my RA a month ago when parked at the lights,my brother was driving.They had a little scuffle when they tried to ****** the keys out the ignition and as soon as he got out off they went,bunch of ****heads but obviously a different story when they have bats and knifes.

But growing up in a ruff area and knowing those sort of ppl myself if you do put a fight up they will back off!!!

There graffters not fighters and they dont intend on stabbing or seriously hurting ppl for cars.

Im not trying to sound like a idiot here, but if my car had still been started i would have nailed it away.

A few years ago when i was about 19, i was parked up in my renault 5 gt turbo, actually just started it and a crappy old mk3 escort pulled up in front of me, someone got out with a metal bar, and the escort pulled right in front of my bumper, i just slowy accelerated towards the escort and pushed it out of the way, and then took off, one of my windows were smashed by this ****er with the metal bar, but my car lived to tell the tale.

Everyone is diffrent tho, some really ****ed up people out there.

I later found out this ****er with the metal bar was called Alan piecroft from Pelton Fell, Co durham and i dont mind naming and shaming the scum
