I chickened out
Well I finally went to Santa Pod with the WRX. After 3 years my buddies talked me into it. I have lost faith in the car after snapping a LF driveshaft. I really didn't want a repeat of that so far from home. Also considering that happened when I was only 277whp I was really really worried at my new spec.
As I finish packing up the car Sunday morning, the wife gave one final warning... don't break that car! D'oh. I picked up a few friends and we set off on a 1 1/2hr drive. We arrived at Santa Pod to find it was packed. I have never seen a RWYB so busy.
We set about unpacking the car and getting signed in.
I waited and waited patiently each time in the que. I must say I really don't like the way Santa Pod handles the staging. Pre stage, stage.. GO! You have no time to get the revs up before the lights drop. At any rate I pulled off several 13.0X @ 109- 110 mph w/ pathetic 2.1 - 2.2 60ft times. I Just couldn't launch it like I really wanted to. Yes, I was afraid I'd break something... I just wanted to have fun but not push my luck. Can you imagine the cost of a tow back to Norfolk?
Anyway on my last run I ran a 12.9 @ 109. I know there is a mid 12 in there with that kind of MPH. So there you have it.. I admit it, I wussed out. My friends were cool about it though. I guess they understood it would have been a long walk home!
So here is my timeslip:

looks pretty reasonable times to me
might be wrong but i think at RWYB days you don't have to go by the lights, it times you from when you set off so you can spend all the time you like getting your revs/launch right. you just won't get a proper reaction time.
probably totally wrong, but i'm sure i've read this somewhere

Yes, Uncle Sam shipped it over with me and I started modding it from there. It was all original back then... ah the good 'ol days!
I figured it up one day. I paid $22,900 for the car brand new. I have about $11,000 worth of mods. So about £18,700 total including the car. Now I want an EVO X.. go figure!

thought you would have got some sort of bhp/torque figures from him though?
either way i'd expect you're quite happy with it from what i've read he's a very well regarded mapper so i'm sure he's made the most of the mods

Of the three times I ran my car at Jap show, first & third runs, started dialing in the revs when the bloke put his hand across my windscreen. Obviously meaning for me to stop. Never managed a good launch, just ended up going on green. Timeslip from my first run which was my first ever:

Tow truck to Norfolk? Pittance compared to a tow back to Newcastle upon Tyne if my car had fooked.

Good times, Pod is busy and not good to get runs on but you need to come up Norf and run at York/Elvington, not too busy and loads of runs, and if it breaks there is a mechanic a few miles a way in his workshop..
