You can't be booked for speeding if...
the police officer is:
not wearing a hat;
not in uniform;
on his own;
not in a marked patrol car;
unable to follow you for 500 yards/metres;
not wearing a hi-viz vest;
unable to issue you with a NIP on the spot or
has stopped you for any other reason.
Which one, or more, of these is false?

the marked patrol car is a slightly grey area.
i refused to stop for a what i pressume wad a unmrked vehicle, by that i mean it had no lights. i did drive straight to the nearest police station though, as i thought i was being folloewd by 2 *********, turns out i was, they 2 were part of the force.

I think the vehicle the officer is driving has to be roadworthy too. If for example it has a headlight bulb out when you're pulled there's a get-out. Not sure if it's true...

To those of you who thought they were all false, award yourselves a pat on the back.
Although I have to say we have all been kept amused by the defences that have obviously come from the pub about a mate's friend who knows someone who was told that it had definitely worked for a pal of his brother.
And if any of you who have recently received a summons or NIP for speeding would like to send me a brown envelope with cash in it to the value of £300, I can ensure that in most cases you will get a fine of about £60 and usually three points on your licence (or license if your spellchecker doesn't work).

Lets face it: most journey-men solicitors couldnt actually get you aquitted if you had been stopped by a lone policeman! Im sure that they could confidently talk you through filling in the legal aid forms though.....
